Position Summary

The Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing preventative dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the doctor and clinical team in delivering excellent patient care. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene procedures including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealants
• Take and review dental radiographs
• Assess patient oral health and accurately chart findings
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and preventative care
• Assist in developing treatment recommendations alongside the doctor
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
• Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols
• Create a comfortable and welcoming experience for patients
• Collaborate with doctors and team members to provide excellent patient care
• Support office flow and contribute to a positive team culture

Qualifications

• Current Dental Hygienist license in the State of South Dakota
• CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Experience with dental software and digital radiographs preferred
